Last Wednesday the Chavez family began their first cross country trip to Washington DC as a family of three! Our good friend Robert was getting married to our new good friend Lydia! Steve had the honor of being in the wedding and Ava and I got to tag along in the festivities. Ava was a real trooper. She was a terrific traveler - she did great on the plane and got many compliments on how good she was and also how cute she was...I of course said thank you and was such a proud mama.
We didn't get in any sight seeing this trip, but had been there a few years ago so were not terribly disappointed. Without the sight seeing it, was still an activity filled, fun, tiring, meaningful, cultural, loving experience. One that I would not have missed! It was hard to capture all of the moments as I generally was found with a child on my hip, and Steve was taking part in the activities, but we managed to capture a few. Here are just a few pictures of our GREAT weekend!
